Decadent garlicky shrimp swimming in rich butter and wine sauce.
  • 4 large garlic clovesfinely chopped
  • 1/2tsp salt
  • 1/2tsp pepper
  • 2tbsp Italian parsleychopped
  • 1 1/4lb Large Shrimp
  • 2tbsp oilive oil
  • 1/2cup white wine
  • 6tbsp butter
  • 1tbsp lemon juice and zest of one lemon
  • 1/2tsp pepper flakes
  1. In bowl, toss garlic, salt and pepper with shrimp, which may be refrigerated for several hours.
  2. Heat oil in large pan on high heat until it shimmers. Add shrimp for about 2 minutes until color just begins to turn translucent
  3. Remove shrimp, reduce heat to medium high and add wine. Cook couple of minutes to reduce. Add butter to melt. ( I add more butter as I like to dunk bread in a lot of sauce)
  4. Put shrimp back and stir about a minute; add lemon juice and zest.
  5. Sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes, if desired. Serve over rice, pasta or as is with crusty bread to dunk.
Recipe Notes

If using pasta, this probably serves 4. If serving with crusty bread to dunk, count on serving 2 for sure.
