Shrimp Creole
  • 2tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2cup onionschopped
  • 1/2cup green bell pepperschopped
  • 1/2cup celerychopped
  • 1tsp chile powder
  • 114 oz can tomatoes
  • 18 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1tbsp hot sauce
  • 1tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1tsp sugar
  • 2lbs shrimppeeled and deveined
  • green onions for garnish
  1. Preheat crock pot on high.
  2. In fry pan, heat olive oil. Add peppers, onions and celery. Cook until softened. Add chili powder and saute until caramelized. Remove from heat and pour into crock pot. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, hot sauce, Worcestershire, white sugar, salt and pepper.
  3. Cook for 3 hours. Add shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes
